Mahnoor runs a small home boutique in Multan, and for years every sale banner, price label and Eid collection post meant paying an outside designer — slowly, expensively, and never quite in the style she pictured. She joined Graphic Design Essentials with a practical goal most students will recognise: she wanted to stop paying for the same work again and again.
“I was not trying to become a designer. I was trying to stop renting one. The designing part turned out to be the bonus.”
Her design tools before the course were phone editing apps and hope. Professional software looked intimidating, but the course's step-by-step structure — fundamentals first, real briefs after — matched how she liked to learn.
She studied in the gaps of a working boutique day, applying each lesson to her own shop almost immediately. Typography one week became new price labels the next; the colour module became a proper palette for her brand.
The centrepiece of her course was building a complete brand kit for her own boutique — logo refresh, colours, fonts, templates for sale posts and labels. Every element was reviewed by her mentor as coursework and used in her shop as real work.
Her next sale launched with creatives she had designed herself, on time and in her own style. The recurring design bill simply disappeared — replaced by a skill that also made her boutique look noticeably more professional to customers.
Mahnoor produces all of her boutique's design work herself and occasionally takes small design orders from two neighbouring boutiques. A course she took to remove a cost became a second skill-income — and her shop finally looks the way she always pictured it.
